Emigration: Arne Johansen HUSEBY Family

The Grue parish records show that Arne, Johanna, Maren, and Marte left Norway for Denmark on 6 Jun 1851. The 1900 census indicates that Johanna arrived in the USA in 1866. Unfortunately we do not know the family's whereabouts yet in the intervening years.

It appears that at some point they returned to Norway. A marriage record for their son, John, indicates that he was born in Kristiania (Oslo). Mathilda's obituary also indicates that she was born in Norway, as does the 1870 Census.
